Paradisus Gran Canaria  is looking for  passionate and highly qualified Pastry Chefs  to join our kitchen team.

 

Job Mission

The  Pastry Chef  will be responsible for the creation, preparation, and presentation of high-quality pastry and confectionery products, ensuring an exceptional dining experience in keeping with the hotel’s luxury standards. They will actively collaborate with the kitchen team, ensuring guest satisfaction and compliance with food safety and sustainability protocols.

 

What will you have to do?

  • Prepare and present desserts, breads, pastries and confectionery products following established recipes and standards, taking maximum care of quality, flavor and presentation.
  • Participate in the creation and renewal of dessert menus, incorporating new trends and creative proposals aligned with the identity of the destination.
  • Manage the  daily mise en place  of the pastry area, ensuring the correct preparation of ingredients and materials.
  • Supervise the correct handling, preservation and storage of raw materials and products.
  • To ensure compliance with the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team and other departments to ensure a smooth and excellent service.
  • Control the stock in the pastry area and contribute to the reduction of food waste, following the hotel’s sustainability policies.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Training in Pastry, Baking, Gastronomy or related areas.
  • At least  2 years of experience  as a pastry chef in high-end hotels, luxury restaurants or similar environments.
  • Mastery of classic and modern pastry techniques; experience in international pastry will be valued.
  • Creative, detail-oriented and organized person, with the ability to work under pressure and in a team.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of English is valuable for interacting with international guests and teams.
