Are you ready to take the next big step in your culinary career? Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is looking for a Part-Time Pastry Commis II who shares our passion for food is willing to learn from and contribute to our pastry team.
About the role:
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about baking! Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are required in this position. The Pastry Commis II is responsible for the product creation and production of the baking operation of Café Boulud, Room Service and Banquets in the Hotel. Providing the guests with a selection of fresh bakery products on a daily basis are all part of this exciting position. Working in a creative manner to consistently introduce innovative recipes and to develop your teams’ ability to produce a premium quality product is essential.
What you will bring:
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for baking and a keen sense for flavors, color and texture in what they produce. Creativity and flair, the ability to work together with other team members on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors is required. Candidates will need to feel comfortable working alone. Excellent communication skills are essential in addition to being trained and certified in safe food handling. The Commis II position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean all baking equipment and tools. Position also requires continuous standing for the majority of the shift and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Applicants are required to have minimum 1 year of baking kitchen experience. The ideal candidate will have a can-do approach to any task.

Starting rate of pay is $20.48 and the full rate of pay is $22.75.
