Receiving Attendant

Support seamless operations of the Fairmont Banff Springs by managing all incoming goods. The Receiving Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations by managing the receipt and inspection of all incoming deliveries. This position is responsible for verifying shipment accuracy, documenting deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized loading dock.

Starting Rate: $21.29 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.16.

Job Duties Include: 

• Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service while maintaining strong relationships with purchasing managers, vendors, and delivery drivers.
• Accurately inspect, document, and track all incoming deliveries, ensuring quality, quantity, and temperature requirements are met; report any issues on waybills.
• Verify all shipments have valid Purchase Orders and receive them accurately in the Birchstreet Procurement System.
• Keep the loading dock clean and organized, and coordinate timely pickup of items with relevant departments.
• Handle guest and convention package delivery, support Food Stores with distribution, and continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.

Your Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal English; great interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and email Knowledge of food and beverage products
• Previous warehouse experience an asset
• Knowledge of Birch Street  (Inventory Software)
• Previous experience operating a motorized pallet jack is an asset
