Reservations Coordinator

 The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Reservations Coordinator to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (to include cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

What will I be doing?

As a Reservations Coordinator, you would be responsible for assisting group reservations in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Answer telephones in a professional, courteous manner with proper greeting and closing, providing personalized guest service.
• Proactively promote/sell hotel services and offerings to the Hotel’s guests and callers, delivering on revenue expectations.
• Must have complete knowledge of all dining venues and take reservations for dining with accuracy.
• Must have current knowledge of all key personnel and departmental functions in the hotel.
• Operate computers and multiple phone lines.
• Keep management informed of pertinent guest and personnel issues.
• Monitor and action systems as assigned to include but not limited to email inboxes, text/chat platforms, interdepartmental communication systems, radio communication, all phone ques, fax machines, etc.
• Perform any tasks related to communicating and selling to guests or tasks related to the hotel operation as assigned.
• Attend weekly meeting with GRC and be prepared to discuss the next seven days group arrivals in detail.
• Ensure all VIP and Contact reservations are annotated as such and have an approximate arrival time.
• Attend scheduled Pre-Convention meetings.
• Meet with contact at least once during conference.

Classification: Full-Time

Shift: Various – must be available to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $23 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
