WE ARE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR: SALES MANAGER – Meetings & Events
TASKS:
- Proactively identify, qualify, and convert new business for Meetings & Events, weddings, social occasions, product launches, brand activations, and off-site catering.
- Develop tailored, industry-specific event propositions for real estate launches, automotive showcases, concerts, entertainment activations, sports events, festivals, and community partnerships.
- Conduct proactive sales calls, client visits, entertainment, FAM trips, and participate in trade shows to strengthen and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers to drive future bookings and long-term loyalty.
- Develop relationships within the community to expand local market penetration and event opportunities.
- Identify new business opportunities across M&E, Outside Catering, F&B, Groups, and creative events to achieve personal and departmental revenue goals.
- Produce creative proposals, detailed contracts, pricing structures, and client communications aligned with Radisson RED brand standards.
- Provide accurate, complete, and effective turnover to the Events & Operations teams, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
- Execute and support operational aspects of booked business including proposal generation, contracting, follow-up communication, and final event handover.
- Conduct thorough site inspections, ensuring each walkthrough is engaging, on-brand, and tailored to the client’s vision.
- Lead and oversee the wedding and social events segment, developing unique, bold, and experiential concepts reflective of the RED identity.
- Support Outside Catering growth through proactive sales strategies, community partnerships, and market outreach.
- Create dynamic, creative offerings for celebrations, social gatherings, corporate off-site events, and lifestyle experiences.
- Participate in annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and revenue planning for Meetings & Events and Catering segments.
- Focus on MICE & Outside catering.
- Develop and implement strategies where key sales metrics, pipelines, and performance indicators are identified, tracked, and optimized.
- Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of sales activities, leads, conversions, and market performance.
- Review business performance and provide recommendations that support financial growth and commercial success.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, anticipate customer requirements, and refine offerings.
- Understand market dynamics—competitor strengths/weaknesses, supply & demand, and economic trends – to position the hotel competitively.
- Close the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions, guest needs, and commercial priorities.
- Gain deep understanding of target customer segments and tailor solutions to meet business objectives, event needs, and service expectations.
- Work closely with the Sales, Events, Catering, F&B, Marketing, and Revenue teams to deliver coordinated and complementary sales activities across all channels – online and offline.
- Support planning and execution of in-house hotel projects related to Meetings & Events and Food & Beverage activations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and collaborative execution.
- Ensure smooth departmental functioning by promoting teamwork, clarity, and alignment with commercial goals and brand culture.
- Ensure all departmental activities meet Radisson standards and follow corporate policies, legal requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Prepare and support departmental budgets, ensuring cost control, productivity optimization, and performance achievement.
- Ensure adherence to all legislation, due diligence requirements, and best practices, documenting actions for internal and external audit.
