Sales Manager

Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing local market including business, catering, social and group travel from assigned accounts. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence.  The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 – 3 years of sales and/or MSE manager experience in a luxury hotel property.
  • Excellent customer centric and networking skills to readily identify and capture sales opportunities.
  • Expertise in selling and booking groups, corporate caterings and social events to match the hotel’s strategic and revenue goals.
  • Excellent product knowledge and a strong track record of success
  • Ability to maintain existing relationships and develop rapport with internal and external customers for the acquisition of new business for the hotel
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments and follow-up.
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of client and hotel data and to work within a cohesive team and perform job functions independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to enforce Ritz-Carlton quality standards and procedures.
  • Candidate must be a clear thinker and be able to analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.
  • Ability to focus attention on details and possess a high-level proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult situations and to balance time and work well with deadlines.
  • Develop, implement and sustain aggressive proactive solicitation plans focused on increasing business.
  • Be able to consistently meet or exceed personal booking goals through proactive solicitation, trade show attendance, events and direct sales.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English, required
  • Focus on building long-term value based customer relationships that enable achievement of personal and team sales objectives.

The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Assists in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives. Achieves personal sales goals.
