Job Objective

To guarantee the comprehensive security of guests, employees, facilities and hotel assets, supervising security personnel and ensuring compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and regulations of Meliá Hotels International.

Main responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and evaluate the performance of the security team on all shifts.
• Ensure compliance with safety, emergency and risk prevention protocols.
• Conduct inspection rounds in public, operational and restricted areas of the hotel.
• Attend to and follow up on incidents, reports, complaints, and risk situations.
• Prepare daily reports, logs, and incident reports for management.
• Coordinate actions with internal areas (Reception, Maintenance, HR) and external authorities when necessary.
• Verify the correct functioning of security equipment (CCTV, access controls, alarms, radios).
• Train and reinforce staff in security procedures and guest service.
• Ensure compliance with the hotel’s safety, health and environmental regulations.

Job requirements

• High school diploma (technical degree or bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in security, preferably in the hotel or tourism industry.
• Previous experience supervising staff.
• Knowledge in crisis management, first aid and civil protection.
• Basic computer skills and report writing.
• Availability for flexible hours and rotating shifts.
