Senior Sales Manager – Meeting & Events

Job Description

 

  • Achieve revenue and sales targets by proactively securing event and group business within assigned market segments.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and event offers that maximize profit while meeting client needs.
  • Conduct sales calls, client meetings, and on-site inspections to generate new business and maintain key relationships.
  • Follow up on leads, pending proposals, and existing accounts to secure repeat and future bookings.
  • Coordinate event details with Operations, Banquets, Culinary, and other departments to ensure seamless execution.
  • Communicate client requirements, special requests, and event updates clearly and promptly to all relevant teams.
  • Monitor booking pace and revenue performance, contributing to monthly and annual sales reports.
  • Ensure the Events Sales function operates within budget and supports overall hotel sales strategies.
  • Maintain effective correspondence, documentation, and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the development and execution of sales initiatives and marketing activities to increase event revenue and market presence.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel experience, specifically in Events Sales, Banquet Sales, or Group Sales.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, including banqueting, front office coordination, and F&B services.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing high-value events or group bookings in a hotel environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and manage key accounts within the hospitality sector.
  • Proficiency in hotel sales systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple inquiries, events, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, guest-focused hotel setting.
