About the location:

Set in the heart of the City, overlooking Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, Tower Bridge is the starting point for discovering London’s historic past, alongside its exhilarating present. As impressive inside as out, this famous five-star hotel remains the centre of attention, as a new chapter begins in its history. This beautiful grade II listed building and former HQ of the Port of London Authority has 100 rooms, 41 residential apartments of which 31 units are in a FS run transient rental program, a stunning ballroom which has hosted the inaugural Reception of the United Nations, 5 meeting rooms, a stunning destination spa with 6 treatment rooms, hammam, steam, sauna and swimming and vitality pool, and a fantastic Food and Beverage offering including La Dame de Pic (French cuisine, 2*Michelin Star), Mei Ume (Chinese/ Japanese cuisine) and Rotunda (all day dinning, afternoon tea & bar).

 

 

Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team.

 

The Senior Sous Chef Role:

As Sous Chef, you’ll play a key leadership role in supporting the Head Chef with the daily operations of our kitchen. You’ll help ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across all outlets and banqueting. This is a hands-on role that requires strong culinary skills, a passion for excellence, and the ability to inspire and lead a team in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

 

What you will do:

  • Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations across all outlets and events
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation and presentation
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the culinary brigade to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost control
  • Contribute to menu development, seasonal updates, and recipe creation
  • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, health, and safety
  • Take full operational responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef

What you bring:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a diverse team
  • Exceptional culinary talent with a keen eye for detail and presentation
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
  • Creativity and passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
