Guest Experience Specialist

About the location:

Your own private paradise on a lush coral island. On Desroches Island, there is nothing to distract you from tranquillity, save for the sound of birds singing and an ocean breeze that invites you to come a little closer. We’re the only resort on this captivating coral island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where the beaches belong to no one and everyone at the same time. Our rustic villas and suites are intimate retreats and will make you feel like a castaway who has struck gold.

 

 

Special Requirements

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • 3 – 4  years of experience in luxury resorts preferred F&B operations or Guest experience team
  • Possesses aptitude and upward mobility.
  • Outgoing personality and at ease with customers.
  • Prior experience of working with restaurant & bar operations.
  • Qualified First Aider.
  • Strong F&B or restaurant operations background
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service, preferably in a luxury resort setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, resort activities, and the local island environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote island environment.
  • Passion for providing outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for guests.

 

Major Responsibilities

General

  • Is directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of work
  • Where applicable, acts as shift leader, leads and motivates colleagues by example, promotes teamwork
  • Assumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness; promotes teamwork and acts as role model
