Key Responsibilities:

  • Restaurant role reporting to senior kitchen management
  • Modern American cuisine
  • The role is responsible for driving and developing food offers and menus for FireLake Restaurant in line with Executive Chef expectations and the overall FireLake brand and Food & Drink strategy
  • The position is responsible for the overall management of the FireLake kitchen and chef team including food safety, cost control, financial management, product ordering, special events, performance management etc.
  • The chef will form a key part of the FireLake management team to deliver on quality, consistency and financial expectations and with the wider F&B team on hotel based projects and events
  • The expectation is for an operational manager to deliver in a very hands on role, with creativity and kitchen presence crucial and ,in addition, an eye for detail and great communication skills are a must


Requirements:
At least two years’ experience at Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef level

Experience with high end Modern American, European and/or Asian food is desired

-Computer literacy is also a must with previous experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Inventory and Payroll systems

-Excellent managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
-Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
-Proven track record of success in stand alone restaurants and/or individual restaurants within hotels
