Food and Beverage Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Boston – Cambridge, an iconic property overlooking the Charles River, is seeking a full-time Food and Beverage Manager to join their leadership team! This hotel offers a seasonal rooftop restaurant, live music at Scullers Jazz Club, and event space. It’s only a half mile from Harvard Business School, one mile from Harvard Square, and less than two miles from Boston University and MIT!

We’re looking for an engaging leader with the ability to multi-task, as well as the desire to foster a culture of respect and positivity! This position will be supporting 2-3 outlets per shift/overseeing 15-20 union and non-union team members, while reporting to the hotel’s Director of Operations.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess one year’s front of house management experience in a full-service restaurant. Prior food and beverage leadership experience in a hotel, including banquets exposure, would be considered an asset!

What will I be doing?

As a Food and Beverage Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the leadership team in overseeing the functionality and safety of the resort to protect the well-being of all guests and team members in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service
  • Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
    Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service
    Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff
