Junior sous Chef

Job Description

 

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Cairo, Egypt. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain proper storage procedures
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and seasonal menu offerings
  • Monitor food quality and presentation throughout service
  • Assist in managing kitchen costs and minimizing waste
  • Participate in staff training and development initiatives
  • Step in for the Sous Chef when necessary, demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills
  • Contribute to the creation of specials and innovative menu items, showcasing creativity and knowledge of local and international cuisines
