Sous Chef – Italian Cuisine

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef specializing in Italian cuisine to join our culinary team in Cairo, Egypt. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional Italian dining experiences to our guests.

• Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food preparation
• Create and execute authentic Italian dishes, blending traditional techniques with innovative approaches
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and health regulations
• Contribute to menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
• Manage inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance overall guest satisfaction
• Participate in kitchen maintenance and cleanliness efforts

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in Italian cuisine
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Italian culinary techniques
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
• Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory control systems
• Up-to-date food safety certification
• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Passion for culinary innovation and staying current with industry trends
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian language is a plus
