Summary

As the IRD Order Taker at Delano Dubai, you will be the first point of contact for guests placing in-room dining orders. You will embody the brand’s spirit of refined sophistication and intuitive service, ensuring each guest interaction is warm, efficient, and seamless. Your role is to guide guests through the menu, make thoughtful recommendations, accurately record orders, and coordinate with the kitchen and service team to deliver a flawless in-room dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming IRD calls promptly, warmly, and professionally, following Delano service standards.
• Take food and beverage orders clearly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy in communication and upselling where appropriate.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, dietary considerations, and daily specials.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and IRD team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of guest orders.
• Process guest orders using the property’s point-of-sale (POS) system with accuracy.
• Handle special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergen information with care and attention.
• Follow up on orders, ensuring prompt delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in resolving any service-related issues calmly and professionally.
• Support the overall IRD operation, including assisting with tray setups, amenities, and mise en place when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace at all times.
• Adhere to grooming standards and represent the Delano brand with style and confidence.
• Protect guest privacy and handle sensitive information with discretion.
