The Hotel Imperial, with 138 rooms and suites, is one of the most exclusive 5-star hotels in Vienna and one of the most renowned hotels worldwide. In a historic ambiance with state-of-the-art amenities, we offer our guests the highest quality of service and an authentic local and luxurious experience.

Vienna’s excellent gourmet destination, the OPUS Restaurant, serves modern interpretations of regional cuisine with an international touch in an elegant fine-dining atmosphere. The classic Viennese coffee house, Café Imperial, offers living tradition with Viennese specialties and the globally renowned “Imperial Torte.” In the heart of the hotel, the Imperial Bar, cozy armchairs invite guests to linger over cocktails and small culinary delights.

As our Executive Chef you will lead our kitchen team and work closely with F&B Management in order to provide our guests with a culinary experience of the highest caliber with the entire kitchen brigade.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Independent management and leadership of the entire kitchen team, as well as responsibility for smooth service operations
  • Quality assurance and control, guidance, and training of all employees, apprentices and trainees
  • Organization of purchasing and inventory management
  • Creation of menus and promotions for all outlets
  • Organization and implementation of all hygiene and safety standards (HACCP)
  • Optimization of kitchen department productivity
  • Shift scheduling and vacation
  • Performing and overseeing employee trainings regarding quality and safety standards, as well as staff development
