Social Media Content Manager

Job Description

Serve the needs of the business by optimising our online presence and analysing competitors’ performance, while acting as the main point of contact between the Corporate Office and properties in the region. This includes leading and executing social media content strategies, delivering training and workshops, and developing strategic plans across various online channels.

This role manages the social media platforms for Minor Hotels, Anantara Hotels & Resorts, and Avani Hotels & Resorts, and collaborates closely with internal teams to plan and develop content that drives brand awareness, engagement, and conversion.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Minor Hotels team members always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues.

Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Drive the overall social media content strategy for Minor Hotels, Anantara Hotels & Resorts, and Avani Hotels & Resorts.
  • Lead content planning and execution across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms to maximize awareness, enter new markets, drive traffic to brand.com, and increase direct revenue from social.
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice and storytelling to strengthen brand equity and elevate company awareness across all platforms.
  • Design and deliver regional training and workshops to keep teams updated with evolving trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Support properties in optimizing and managing their social profiles within brand guidelines and group strategy.
  • Monitor, audit, and benchmark competitor activity to inform a data-driven social media optimization strategy aligned with the Commercial Department’s 3-year plan.
  • Track and report on performance metrics to demonstrate impact and continuously refine strategy.

Innovation and Engagement:

  • Identify and implement new social platforms, formats, and approaches that position Minor Hotels as a leader and industry benchmark.
  • Create, develop, and implement social media campaigns/competitions that increase audience interaction while positioning the brands and the group at the forefront of the hospitality industry.
  • Champion award submissions (e.g., HOTELS Mag, Shorty Awards) to highlight the group’s initiatives and showcase industry impact.

E-commerce and Digital:

  • Collaborate with Commercial teams to deliver integrated campaigns across digital channels that drive bookings and revenue.
  • Drive social media activations for rebrandings and property openings, ensuring strong awareness and positioning in new markets.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between Minor Hotels headquarters, regional offices, and properties to align on brand standards and market positioning.

Qualifications

  • Proven background in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or similar fields with at least 3 – 5 years’ experience preferred.
  • Strong (written and verbal) communication skills in English.
  • Creative thinker with an ability to connect creativity with the business goals and objectives.
  • Ability to manage the relationship with both agency and internal stakeholders.
  • Skills in photo editing tools such as Canva, CapCut
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms
  • In-depth understanding of various social media platforms and their algorithm changes
  • Experience using analytics tools, such as Facebook Insights and TikTok Insights
  • Understands the market and its competitors both locally and internationally.
  • A keen eye for details.
  • Skills in photography and videography is a plus.
