Food and Beverage Attendant

The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Sundae’s Attendant to join the Food & Beverage team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (to include cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

Classification: Seasonal- Starting on November 24, 2025 and ending no later than January 4, 2026

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: $21.16 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Sundae’s Attendant, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders.
• Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, maintaining accountability for all beverages served.
• Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and insures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all transactions.
• Respond to guest complains in a positive and tactful manner, negotiate a compromise and implement solution.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops, secures and balance bank and sign out/in keys.
