Rising above the San Diego Bay and steps from the Gaslamp Quarter and Petco Park, Hilton San Diego Bayfront is the signature SoCal resort. Our Hilton San Diego Bayfront property is looking for their next Shift Engineer to join an amazing Engineering team. If you are a hands-on type of person who likes to fix things and interact with others, this is the position for you.

You will also be able to enjoy some of the positive vibes of the waterfront area as well. Our waterfront hotel has 1,190 guest rooms and over 170,000 square feet elegant indoor and gorgeous outdoor event spaces.

Shift Pattern: Varies: PM/Overnight (to include weekends and holidays)

Pay Scale: $29.54 – $32.82

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Availability to work a flexible schedule that would include nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Previous hands-on hotel/building maintenance working experience.

What will I be doing?

As a Shift Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-house areas.
• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry.
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
