Assistant Director of Events Sales

Job Description

 

  • Support the Director of Sales in developing and executing the hotel’s events and group sales strategies.
  • Assist in managing the Events Sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance support.
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets by actively securing and managing high-value event, group, and banquet business.
  • Develop strong relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and event planners to drive repeat and new business.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals, contracts, and event packages to maximize revenue and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and sales opportunities to enhance business growth.
  • Conduct site inspections, sales calls, and client meetings to showcase hotel facilities and services.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Banquets, Culinary, and other departments to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and monthly sales reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel service standards, brand guidelines, and revenue management best practices.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of hotel experience, with at least 2 years in Events Sales or Group Sales.
  • Proven experience securing and managing large-scale events, banquets, and group bookings.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and coach a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in hotel sales systems, CRM platforms, and MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented hospitality environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
