Bar/Lounge Manager

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, EPDG Hospitality Management Group B.V.. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Position Summary

The Bar/Lounge Manager is responsible for leading the bar and beverage experience across assigned outlets within The Pyrmont’s all-inclusive, adults-only environment. This leader creates elevated cocktail programs, ensures exceptional beverage service, and brings The Pyrmont’s personality to life through thoughtful drink menus, guest engagement, and team training. The Bar/Lounge Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the bar and lounge, ensuring an exceptional guest experience through consistent service excellence, beverage quality, and team performance. This role is responsible for supervising and motivating bar staff, managing inventory and cost controls, maintaining compliance with all local regulations, and supporting the property’s overall food and beverage strategy. The Bar/Lounge Manager also plays a key role in menu development, beverage promotions, and training initiatives, driving both guest satisfaction and profitability while upholding The Pyrmont Curaçao’s high standards of hospitality and style.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
•    Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in bar or lounge management within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
•    Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, and beverage trends, with proven ability to design and execute creative bar concepts and promotions.
•    Demonstrated success in managing inventory and cost control.
•    Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
•    In-depth understanding of local laws and regulations related to alcohol service, safety, and hygiene.
•    Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and achieving operational targets.
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused and service-driven mindset.
•    Proficient in English (verbal and written); proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, or Papiamentu is an advantage.

 

Competitive Salary; All costs associated with your work and resident permits to be paid by the hotel; Private health insurance plan fully covered by the employer for the first year of employment; Company phone; A vacation allowance of 5% of the net total salary, pro-rated as per your start date payable in June of every year;  On the job coverage AD&D insurance; A pension plan will be available upon entering an indefinite work agreement; Participation in Management Bonus Program.
