Based at the Mandarin Oriental Corporate Office in Hong Kong, within the Data Analytics & AI Department, the Data Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise data architecture that supports our business strategy. This role ensures that data platforms, integrations, and models are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. The position reports to the VP of Data Analytics & AI.

As Data Architect, you will be involved in:

Data Architecture & Modeling

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture blueprint aligned with business goals and Data & AI strategy.
• Design and oversee implementation of data models, data flows, and integration patterns across operational, analytical, and AI/ML solutions.
• Develop and maintain data lake schemas optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Maintain documentation of data models, schema changes, and data dictionaries.

Platform & Technology

• Lead the design of cloud-based and on-premises data solutions (data lake, data warehouse, real-time streaming).
• Implement and maintain technologies for data integration, storage, processing, and analytics.
• Ensure data platforms are optimized for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Integration & Interoperability

• Design and manage integrations between hotel operations systems and enterprise platforms.
• Enable a single view of the guest by integrating data from multiple touchpoints.

Data Quality & Security

• Define and enforce data quality, metadata management, and master data management processes.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, PIPL) and internal security policies.
• Implement granular access controls and data protection measures.
