Job Description

 

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, restocking, and accurately recording guest room minibar consumption while upholding the highest standards of service and presentation. You will play a key part in delivering the refined, discreet, and anticipatory service that defines our guest experience.

  • Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Minibar offerings and menus in applicable outlets.
  • Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Work in a tidy and organized manner.
  • Some instances may require cash handling.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist.
  • Ensure that all In-Room Dining & Minibar equipment is well maintained.
  • Service guests to the standard Minibar Attendant steps of service.
  • Breakdown In-Room Dining tables and linen in the dish room according to established standards.
  • Be familiar with fire extinguishers, locations and know how to use them.
  • Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and while offering a distinctive dining experience.
  • Submit daily requisitions of items needed for the operation.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • 2 years food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience at a luxury hotel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to maneuver and travel with an In-Room Dining table, Minibar Cart, or service tray.
  • Available to work AM, PM, Weekends and Holidays.
