About The Role
As Laundry Attendant at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, you will be responsible for the flawless presentation and maintenance of all hotel linen, uniforms and guest laundry. Reporting to the Laundry Supervisor, you will perform sewing and mending, ironing, folding, quality checks and inventory tasks, while ensuring compliance with MOHG standards for hygiene, safety and guest service.

Key Responsibilities

• Sew, mend and repair uniforms and linens; perform minor alterations and take measurements when required.
• Operate laundry and finishing equipment (washers, dryers, ironing stations, steamers) to launder, press and fold guest clothing, uniforms and hotel linen to MOHG quality standards.
• Inspect returned linen for quality; report defects to supervisor and ensure correct handling of damaged items (repair, repurpose or dispose).
• Prepare and package guest laundry with correct finishing and labeling; manage timely delivery and collection following hotel standards.
• Maintain laundry and sewing workstations: clean equipment, replace consumables, report faults and follow maintenance procedures.
• Manage linen distribution and stock control: receive and check deliveries, rotate stock, support monthly inventories and collaborate with Stores for replenishment.
• Follow health & safety, Safe & Sound and FLHSSE protocols, maintain COSHH awareness and contribute to a clean, efficient and guest-focused operation.

What We Expect From You

• Practical experience in laundry, ironing and basic sewing; previous experience in luxury hotels is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high presentation standards.
• Ability to operate laundry machinery and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good organisational skills, reliability and a collaborative team attitude.
• Fluent in Spanish and English is preferred; additional languages are a plus.
