Job Description

 

Radisson Blu Galadari Colombo is seeking a creative and skilled Head Baker to lead our bakery team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality baked goods, maintaining exceptional standards, and contributing to memorable culinary experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all bakery operations, including bread, pastries, desserts, and specialty items
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, and hygiene standards
  • Plan and develop bakery menus, seasonal specials, and creative offerings
  • Manage inventory, cost control, and ordering of bakery ingredients
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior bakers to enhance skills and efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with HACCP and company food safety standards

 

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience as a Head Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role in a hotel or high-volume bakery
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and presentation standards
  • Creative mindset and passion for culinary excellence
  • Leadership, teamwork, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
