Job Description

 

Sofitel Wellington is looking for a Full time permanent (40 hours per week) experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor for our distinguished outlets, Jardin Grill and La Serre.

In this role, you will surpass your own expectations as well as those of our guests. A Career that lets your passion shine, in this role you will;

  • Supervise the multi outlet operations of Food & Beverage department, including our Restaurant & Bar, Conference, Club lounge, Minibar and In-Room Dining
  • Lead, train, and motivate Food & Beverage ambassadors to ensure exceptional 5 star luxury service standards
  • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by acting proactively, and promptly addressing any concerns or special requests
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu items are delivered according to hotel standards
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist in placing orders and stock control
  • Promote campaigns and events to drive revenue and increase capture
  • Conduct analysis of departmental training needs, prepare and deliver training to both groups and individuals
  • Host team briefings and meetings to communicate department performance feedback and strategies

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Food & Beverage with proven experience leading a team (preferred)
  • Emotional intelligence and a demonstrated understanding of luxury
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to positively influence others
  • Demonstrated leadership and team working skills, and able to manage schedules
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment, and resolve guest feedback
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations food handling best practices
  • Understanding of food and beverage operations, inventory and ordering
  • A passion for Food & Beverage with the drive to excel your career
  • Barista experience (preferred)
