Housekeeper

We are seeking a professional and reliable Hotel Room Attendant /Housekeeper to join our hotel team at Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. The primary purpose of this role is to perform general cleaning duties and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout guest rooms, corridors, and service areas. This role directly contributes to guest satisfaction and supports the operational efficiency of the hotel. This is a full time guaranteed 30hrs per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean guest rooms, corridors, and storage areas to meet established standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Replenish guest supplies and in-room materials according to the room type and hotel standards.
• Report any lost property following established procedures.
• Perform scheduled and programmed cleaning duties as allocated by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Handle guest laundry in accordance with hotel policies.
• Use, maintain, and clean cleaning equipment safely, reporting any defective equipment promptly.
• Ensure the security of guest rooms and hotel keys by following security procedures and reporting any suspicious activity.
• Comply with health and safety regulations regarding the use, storage, and handling of cleaning agents and chemicals.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 1 year relevant experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or similar roles is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Physically capable of performing manual cleaning tasks efficiently and safely.
• Immaculate grooming and personal presentation;
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• A calm, organized, and detail-oriented approach.
• Wage $27.50 per hour
