Job Description

 

Our TRIBE
TRIBE Den Haag Centraal is the second hotel to open in the Benelux. The hotel is located in the cultural heart of The Hague. It is just a few minutes from the central station and 15 minutes from the beach. The hotel features 159 design rooms, 9 meeting rooms, the restaurant Hitch Hike, and a bar with terrace and views of Spuiplein.

Welcome to Hitch Hike – the newest restaurant concept in the heart of The Hague. Here, it’s all about flavor, atmosphere, and an open-road mentality, from Cali bowls to tropical cocktails and laid-back surf vibes. We serve Cali-Baja Cuisine: sunny, colorful, and always with a twist.

In our kitchen, we cook Cali-Baja style: a sunny mix of the laid-back vibes of California and the spicy soul of Northern Mexico. Think colorful bowls, seafood-centric dishes, fresh produce, and fusion creations. Surprising sauces and a fresh twist in every dish. For you, cooking isn’t routine, it’s a passion, and you can taste it in every bite.

Together with your crew, you make sure our guests enjoy every forkful, as a Line Chef you will make sure this mission succeed, from the Spui square to the last bite. From an energetic breakfast to a flavorful dinner, you handle it all. Everything you create looks sharp and tastes even better.

 

Qualifications

 

What’s cookin’?

  • You prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner with the kitchen team, depending on your shift.
  • You follow recipes but always add love, flavor, and finesse.
  • You know presentation is key, your dishes are Insta-worthy without the fluff.
  • You work cleanly and hygienically, HACCP is as natural to you as your chef’s knife.
  • You keep your workspace tidy and organized. Mise-en-place = peace of mind.
  • You check the freshness, shelf life, and quality of all ingredients.
  • You collaborate, share ideas, and help build a kitchen where creativity and quality come first.
