The Hilton Cleveland Downtown is looking for their next Lead Cook to join their banquet team!

Full-Time

Pay: $23.95 an hour

Shift Pattern: Flexible with the ability to work AM & PM as well as weekends and holidays

The ideal candidate is a skilled and dependable culinary professional with a minimum of two years of prior banquet experience, demonstrating strong ability in high‑volume production and event execution. They bring at least one year of leadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen setting, enabling them to guide and mentor team members. This individual excels in organization, communication, and time management, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and consistently delivers exceptional results to ensure every banquet event runs seamlessly.

What will I be doing?

As a Lead Banquet Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Oversee daily banquet kitchen operations to ensure smooth, efficient food production for all events.
  • Support the banquet Chefs and kitchen staff during prep, service, and breakdown.
  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Follow BEOs to ensure accurate menu execution for all functions.
  • Set up and break down banquet kitchen stations before and after service.
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Demonstrate proper knife skills
