Food & Beverage Director

Job Mission: Responsible for the planning, administration, and effective operation of the food and beverage division to meet or exceed business goals and quality standards, comply with regulations, increase customer satisfaction, and expand market share.

Are there any activities you’ll have to do?

  • Direct and evaluate the division’s operations, ensuring the quality and consistency of products and service in all of the hotel’s Consumption Centers. 
  • Create, implement and monitor the various internal controls of the Food and Beverage division.
  • Avoid overproduction, waste, breakage, losses, misuse of products and equipment, as well as improper check processing.
  • Prepare the budget.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly forecasts and reports that project and reflect performance indicators, such as expenses, payroll, occupancy, covers, guest flow, and product acceptance, to detect deviations and identify opportunities to maximize profits
  • To provide all consumption centers with the raw materials, products, articles and equipment necessary for the correct and timely development of their functions. 
  • Analyze market trends and research new concepts that can be implemented to increase customer satisfaction. 
  • Establish short-term tactics and long-term strategies to contribute to a broader market share and increase overall satisfaction with food and beverages. 
  • Develop menus jointly with the Executive Chef and Food Service Managers that are both well-received and cost-effective, regularly evaluating customer satisfaction levels to determine necessary corrective actions.
  • Oversee the development of approved capital projects for your division and make capital investment recommendations for the maintenance and improvement of Food and Beverage facilities.
  • Promote the hotel’s services, in conjunction with other departments involved, by planning and executing marketing strategies, sales promotions, and special events that foster interest from the local community.

What are we looking for?

Knowledge: Food and beverages, group management, implementation and control of quality standards

Education: Bachelor’s degree in food and beverages or similar.

Experience: 1 year in the position. 

Language: English
