Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Sommelier to lead our wine program and elevate the guest dining experience. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional product knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a genuine passion for delivering world‑class hospitality.
About the role
The Head Sommelier oversees the outlet’s wine operations and supervises the performance and training of the Sommeliers ensuring Four Seasons standards are met. This position creates and updates wine lists, makes recommendations on food and wine pairings, and advises guests on wines based on their tastes and preferences.
What you will do
Curate, enhance, and maintain a distinguished wine list aligned with the restaurant’s concept and clientele.
Supervise, develop, and train the sommelier team and all colleagues involved in beverage service.
Provide warm, professional, and solution‑oriented support when handling and resolving guest concerns.
Collaborate closely with the F&B Leadership Team to anticipate operational needs and communicate guest feedback effectively.
Deliver an engaging and expertly executed beverage experience in accordance with Four Seasons standards of quality, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
Present the wine list and beverage offerings with confidence, providing vivid, accurate, and engaging descriptions to guide guests.
Prepare beverages following established recipes, ensuring correct ingredients, garnishes, portions, and preparation methods.
