Barista

As a Barista at Fairmont Hotels, you will be an ambassador of the exceptional service and quality that is the hallmark of our coffee experience. Your passion for coffee, attention to detail, and ability to create a welcoming environment will contribute to memorable guest moments and support the overall guest experience in our outlets.

Position Type: Permanent & Seasonal
Rate of Pay: $19.47/hour

Job Duties Include:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea in accordance with Fairmont standards.
• Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to all guests, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including the espresso machine, grinders, and service areas.
• Stay informed about the hotel’s current menu and seasonal updates to provide accurate and helpful recommendations to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests, addressing any special dietary requirements, preferences, or concerns.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Previous experience as a barista in a luxury hotel, café, or high-end food & beverage outlet preferred.
• Knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso machines and brewing techniques.
• Alberta ProServe Certificate required.
• Ability to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
