The Hilton Chicago is looking for their next Banquet Steward!
A Banquet Steward collects all service ware and allocate in accordance with banquet event order to supply the function. Removes same following the event to ensure proper clean up.
What will I be doing?
Remove and sort dishes and silverware, scrape excess food, and stack dishes orderly. Rinse, organize and keep cook area clean. Manually feed dishes through dish machine, remove and stack dishes and silverware at completion of cleaning cycle. |
Following proper procedures, prepare machine for cleaning and operate machine manually. Visually inspect all dishes and silverware for cleanliness. Store equipment in the appropriate storage areas and in the correct manner. |
Maintain all areas of food and beverage, sanitize with adherence to city, state, and hotel standards. Keep all areas clean and safe from hazardous materials and garbage. Pick up garbage, breakdown boxes and send to recycling room. Clean out garbage cans and gondolas, reline with trash liners. |
Operate burnishing machine and manually feed silverware through machine. Visually inspect all silverware for proper finish. Use proper chemicals for silver maintenance. |
Pay Rate: The hourly rate upon hire is $22.53.
After completion of 6 months of employment, the rate will increase to $26.50.
Shift pattern: Person must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes AM, PM, weekends and holidays. Closing shifts will be from 6pm – 3am
