Account Director – MICE

Job Description

 

Ready to drive results and build powerful client relationships? We’re looking for a high-energy Sales Manager to grow our market presence, win new business, and strengthen key partnerships across the MICE and corporate events sector.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts including Professional Conference Organisers, Pharmaceutical, Association, Sports & Entertainment, and Corporate MICE clients.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline through research, networking, and industry events.
  • Execute a strategic sales call plan with regular client meetings, calls, and on-site engagements.
  • Maintain and develop existing client relationships to maximise revenue and repeat business.
  • Deliver market insights including competitor intelligence, sales activity reporting, and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Events, Reservations, and Operations to ensure exceptional client and guest experiences.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, client functions, and networking opportunities (including occasional travel).
  • Utilise CRM and sales tools to track activity, leads, and account performance.
  • Welcome VIP clients and ensure memorable experiences that strengthen long-term partnerships.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Proven sales experience in hospitality, hotels, or MICE/events sales.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Experience using CRM or sales management systems.
  • Highly organised with strong time management and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and represent the brand professionally.
  • Willingness to attend industry events, client meetings, and occasional travel.
