Accounting & Finance Manager

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, LUME Hospitality GmbH. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

You will:

– Independently manage all aspects of the accounting department

– Review, distribute, and post incoming invoices

– Prepare payment runs and ensure all payment deadlines are met

– Monitor and oversee accounts payable processes

– Review daily closings and cash reports for the individual outlets

– Maintain good communication and working relationships with other departments

– Participate in financial discussions and quarterly meetings

– Perform account reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

– Handle accounts payable and fixed asset accounting

– Process reminders and general accounting/administrative tasks

– Post and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable

– Record accounting entries for corrections and issue outgoing invoices

– Resolve payment and posting discrepancies

– Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including inventory counts and provisions

– Collaborate with the General Manager on preparing the hotel budget

You have:

– A business apprenticeship with several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in the hotel or restaurant industry, or training or continuing education in financial accounting

– Strategic and analytical thinking skills

– Very good written and spoken German and English

– Experience with Oracle/Oracle Cloud

– Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs

– Knowledge of the FiBuNet, DocuWare, and Fairmas systems
