Assistant Front Office Manager

JOB SUMMARY

 

As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will support the Front Office Manager in managing the Front Office Departments, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient processes, and a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure. You will deputise for the Head of Department, and lead the front office team during shifts, maintain service excellence, and uphold brand standards with a hands-on, guest-focused approach. This role is ideal for a motivated hospitality professional with proven Front Office leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences while supporting team development and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise front desk operations and ensure smooth and efficient service across all shifts.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring all interactions meet brand standards and exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, data protection, and hotel policies.
  • Monitor room availability, occupancy levels, and support revenue optimisation strategies.
  • Support the Front Office Manager in achieving financial objectives, including upselling targets and departmental performance.
  • Drive guest satisfaction through personalised service, proactive problem resolution, and strong product knowledge.
  • Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times.
  • Ensure the front desk area is well-presented, organised, and fully prepared for service.
  • Coach and support junior associates, encouraging skill development and fostering a positive and inclusive team culture aligned with company values.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling, billing processes, and shift reporting in line with financial procedures.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, strong guest engagement, and brand representation at all times.
