d|bar by Chef Daniel Boulud is located in the historic Village of Yorkville, Toronto’s most luxurious shopping and dining district. With an impressive view of Yorkville Avenue, this lively cocktail bar in Toronto is the perfect place for a drink before or after your meal, or make d|bar the evening’s destination and choose from a menu of casual fare that’s ideal for sharing.

The Bartender is an essential member of the d|bar team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. They assures each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact and a smile. They provide guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the provincial and city alcohol law while adhering to d|bar’s standards of service. The individual will have a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar and will ensure that all the details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.

What you will bring:

We are looking for individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong beverage knowledge regarding beer, wine and liquor is required. The Bartender is also required to perform additional side duties and assist in the absence of a bar porter or bar server if necessary. The candidate must be of legal age to serve alcohol. The ideal candidate will have a confident, outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request. The position requires continuous standing for the majority of the shift and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

Smart Serve certification is a must.

Preferred qualifications & skills:

• At minimum 1 year previous Bartender experience in a fast paced food and beverage operation, ideally in a luxury environment
• Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
• Additional language a definite asset for career growth
