Located in Downtown LA’s cultural corridor, Conrad Los Angeles is the city’s newest luxury destination, featuring over 300 rooms, a world-class spa, a 16,000-square-foot rooftop pool deck, 12,000 square feet of event space, and three dynamic dining experiences—including our signature restaurant, San Laurel. This includes a signature restaurant, outdoor restaurant, lobby bar, and in-room dining all in partnership with Chef Jose Andres’ award-wining restaurant group, JoseAndresFoodGroup.

In this role as a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing beverages and serving beverages and/or food to guests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

The ideal candidate will have two years of bartending experience in a high end/luxury cocktail bar. Mixologist work experience preferred. Previous FORBES training preferred. The ideal candidate must possess basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes. Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers. Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock. Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders. Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items. Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check. Ability to lift 40 lbs, work 8 hours walking or standing, and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire.
