About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Canouan / within the Front office Department in Canouan, the Butler provides highly personalized, seamless service to guests from arrival to departure, ensuring an exceptional luxury experience. This role anticipates guest needs, manages preferences, handles special requests, coordinates with other departments, and maintains the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail. The Butler reports to the Front Office Manager.
As Butler, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Guest Experience
Conduct pre-arrival communication and coordinate guest preferences.
Provide a seamless check-in and check-out experience.
Greet guests upon arrival, escort to accommodation, and provide room orientation.
Review arrival and departure reports, confirming airport transfers, amenities, billing, and luggage.
Maintain active guest engagement, meeting assigned guests at least three times daily (based on preference).
Create MOWOW moments for celebrations and special occasions.
Villa & Suite Preparation
Inspect rooms prior to arrival ensuring full presentation, amenities, and guest preferences are in place.
Prepare, inspect, and maintain suites and villas throughout guest stays.
Conduct villa checks and inventories and report defects to Engineering and Housekeeping.
Coordinate servicing times with Housekeeping based on guest schedule.
Service Delivery
Assist with packing, unpacking, wardrobe care, shoe polishing, and laundry coordination.
Serve in-room dining and beverages in accordance with service standards.
Arrange dining, spa, recreation, transportation, and off-property activities.
Promote and upsell room categories and hotel dining or experiences.
