Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Yù & Mì Kitchen section in Dubai, the Commis is responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, following recipes and guidelines set by senior chefs. They ensure consistency, cleanliness, and proper handling of ingredients while supporting daily kitchen operations. Maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and teamwork is essential in this role. The Commis reports to Chef de Partie.
As a Commis, you will be responsible for the following duties:
· Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with hotel standards.
· Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by senior chefs.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen equipment at all times.
