Conference and Events Coordinator

Conveniently located amongst Sydney’s CBD, Darling Harbour, Darling Square and ICC precincts at Novotel Sydney Darling Square we are looking for a Conference and Events Coordinator to join our team for a 12 month maternity leave coverage.

Working closely with the Sales team you will have the opportunity to work across both meeting and events as well as venue events.

What will you be doing:

• Assisting with compilation of event order through to assist on site management of the event.
• Work closely with other relevant departments to ensure that preparations for conferences have been made and runs smoothly.
• Co-ordination and hosting of familiarisation and site inspection activity including follow-up.
• Attend and assist with weekly Banquets Event Order meetings.
• Assist in the maintenance of conference database of key contacts / clients.

• You will possess a keen eye for detail and be able to manage competing priorities.
• Due to the high-volume nature of the venue you will be adept at working under pressure in a high-volume environment.
• You will work well in a team environment as well as autonomously.
