About the role

The Conference Services Assistant Manager coordinates all operational details for group events, ensuring seamless execution, compliance with agreements, and an exceptional planning experience for clients.

 

What you will do

  • Coordinate all operational, administrative, and financial details for group events, ensuring flawless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide clear bilingual communication, guidance, proposals, and on-site support to clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales to maximize event revenue through strategic space management and creative proposals.
  • Source and manage high-quality vendors for decor, entertainment, equipment and event services.
  • Support banquet operations, supervise event execution, ensure billing accuracy and resolve challenges proactively.

  • Take initiative and work proactively, anticipating needs and preparing solutions in advance.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude while supporting the team in all aspects of event execution.
  • Maintain composure, professionalism, and a polished demeanor in high-pressure or unexpected situations.
  • Show patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with guests, colleagues, and partners.
  • 2+ years of hotel or resort experience (Conference Services or Operations)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to work independently.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities; bilingual English / Spanish
  • Flexibility to live in a remote location.
