Director of Events Operations

Raffles London at The OWO on London’s Whitehall, unites the allure and heritage of Raffles with one of the world’s most historic addresses with a name is synonymous with luxury, glamour, and extraordinary adventure.

This fine Grade II* listed Edwardian building has been transformed with 120 rooms and suites along with a collection of 85 exceptional branded residences. Job Description

 

Your role will be responsible for the events operations department at the Raffles London OWO. Ensuring gust expectation is met through the entire even experience. Maintaining exceptional levels of guest communication, preparation, and delivery of all events and meetings across the events department. The role involves the ability to pre-empt guest expectations. You will work in close contact with the Kitchen and sales teams to ensure guests expectations are met and surpassed. Working closely with direct hotel employees and agency/reserve staff to ensure standards of service are met.

Responsibilities

Operation

 

  • Develop and document steps of service and procedures.
  • Oversee all areas of events service from set up to excitation.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing all members of the events operations team.
  • Detailed and precise communication with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Preparing event spaces for service whilst managing time sensitive targets.
  • Take responsibility for departmental training, recruitment, one on ones and appraisals.
  • Additional responsibilities in absence of line manager or senior employee.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in a different department or restaurant, than usually assigned.
