Financial Systems Analyst

In the role of Financial Systems Analyst for Belmond, you will be a key reference point for the optimization and support of our financial systems, ensuring efficiency, data integrity, and technological alignment with our growth ambitions. You will work closely with the Finance and Purchasing teams, transforming business needs into scalable technological solutions and supporting our global operations. Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Analyzing, configuring, and supporting existing financial systems, ensuring their correct functioning and efficiency.
• Participating in the implementation of new functionalities and modules within financial systems, from requirements gathering to go-live.
• Collaborating with Finance, Purchasing and IT departments to align business processes with system capabilities, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Performing data validation and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial information within the systems.
• Developing and optimizing financial reports and dashboards to support business decisions.
• Providing training and technical support to end-users on financial systems and procedures.
• Managing relationships with financial software vendors for system assistance and updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of prior experience in a financial systems analysis role or similar position.
• In-depth knowledge of financial processes (general ledger, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting).
• Proven ability to work with finance-focused ERP systems, including Workday.
• Excellent analytical skills and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and large dataset analysis).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cloud-based financial management systems (e.g., Workday Finance) is a plus.
• Excellent command of both Italian and English (written and spoken).
