Food & Beverage Attendant

What’s the job?

Supports the Food and Beverage Service team by performing support duties including the setup of food and beverage outlets, food and beverage equipment and providing a unique guest experience for all Crowne Plaza Melbourne guests.

Your day to day

• Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Create a warm and welcoming environment, provide personalized service aligned with Crowne Plaza standards, handle card transactions, serve food and drinks professionally, and assist with Room Service, restaurant and bar operations.
• Support Daily Operations & Teamwork: Collaborate across departments, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, perform mise en place and food prep, manage inventory, and assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties to ensure seamless service.
• Opportunities to work across multiple venues, including buffet, à la carte, and bar services.

What we need from you

• Proven experience in fast-paced hospitality venues, with the ability to stay composed and positive under pressure.
• Confident in running your own section — delivering service with efficiency, warmth, and a great sense of humour.
• Skilled in carrying three plates, balancing trays, and holding friendly conversations that enhance the guest experience.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a love for engaging with guests to create memorable dining moments.
• Comfortable managing guest intoxication levels with professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to work independently while being a supportive team player across food and beverage outlets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards in presentation, hygiene, and service.
• Solid knowledge of classic cocktails and the ability to recommend drinks confidently to guests.
• Mandatory certifications: Valid VIC Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
