Food & Beverage Captain

Portobello – Food & Beverage Captain

Our Portobello Captain will be responsible for assisting the Management Team with the daily outlet operation, maximizing service delivery in all areas of the department, and working cohesively with the wider team.

Starting Rate of Pay: $19.75 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation – hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.20.

Job Duties Include:

• Ensure the overall smooth operation of the Outlet.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit.
• Motivate, lead, coach and monitor the performance levels of all team members.
• Participate in the training of new team members.
• Provide support to the management team and F&B Division as required.
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way with expert knowledge of all ingredients
• Consistently up-sell to exceed our guests’ expectations

• 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or deli style establishment.
• Previous hotel experience is an asset
• Leadership skills accompanied by an ability to solve problems effectively
