Job Description

 

The Food and Beverage Coordinator is the administrative backbone of all Food and Beverage for Fairmont Hotels in Hawai’i and reports to Fairmont Orchids Director of Food and Beverage. This position supports the department in all their administrative needs, oversees the overall office organization, assists with menu designs, training processes, analyzing data, large party reservations for restaurant (Private Dining Experiences in Brown’s Beach House) and all relevant departments in ensuring compliance with corporate standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
  • Coordinating and supporting all aspects of Food and Beverage activities, including taking reservations, coordinating and reserving private bookings in outlets, etc.
  • Process booking contracts and distribute them through proper channels internally as required.
  • Maintain an accurate supply of all Food and Beverage Supplies
  • Arrange and conduct walk throughs of restaurant areas as needed
  • Coordinate with other departments within the hotels to ensure the distribution of pertinent information, i.e., booking reservations, contracts, order forms, memos, etc., and maintain an orderly working environment.
  • Provide administrative support, i.e., processing of invoices, maintain restaurant bookings/activities, ordering supplies
  • Prepare collateral and amenities as requested by the Food and Beverage Director.
  • Actively participate in industry and hotel training programs.
  • Be an effective team player within the Food and Beverage team of Fairmont Hotels Hawai’i and with other team members in Catering and Conventions, Guest Services, Sales & Marketing, and other key areas within the hotel and the region.
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve systems and procedures.
