About the job

Based Mandarin Oriental, Munich, the Junior Souschef is responsible for the culinary offerings for breakfast, events, In-Room Dining and the Ory Bar. The Junior Souschef reports to the Head Chef.

As Junior Souschef, you will responsible for the following duties:

• Taking operational leadership of the Main Kitchen during your shift, ensuring smooth service operations, outstanding food quality and presentation, and the satisfaction of both guests and colleagues

• Planning and organizing daily kitchen operations in close collaboration with the Head Chef

• Acting as a key point of contact for suppliers and team members alongside the Head Chef, while driving continuous quality improvement and optimizing operational processes

• Creating and developing menus for all outlets served by the Main Kitchen, bringing innovation, creativity, and fresh culinary ideas

• Leading and coordinating all Main Kitchen and Stewarding team members during your shift

• Ensuring consistent compliance with all quality, hygiene, and safety standards
