Sales Manager

Job Description

 

  • Achieves budgeted goals by executing sales activities within assigned market segment.
  • Assists in the development of annual sales goals.
  • Assists in the completion of monthly booking report.
  • Ensures own function operates within cost restraints.
  • Maintains effective correspondence.
  • Meets budgeted sales and profit margins for group business, by soliciting, selling, and confirming business as required.
  • Develops data and recommends programs to meet clients’ needs.
  • Prepares proposals with the Director of Sales that are geared to maximize profit while satisfying guest needs.
  • Utilizes the “Winning Edge” sales techniques.
  • Solicits files on a timely basis to confirm business.
  • Uses outside sales calls to solicit existing and new guests.
  • Conducts on-site client inspections and entertainment weekly.
  • Contacts in-house guests to foster additional business, repeat bookings, or referrals to other Radisson Hotels.
  • Coordinates activities related to booked business with other departments.
  • Communicates guests requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ensures maximum occupancy on a daily basis by performing follow-ups on progress of groups booked with Front Office.
  • Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing
  • projects for assigned market areas as stated in the Hotel Marketing Plan.
  • Keeps Sales Department informed of group booking status.
  • Communicates with Front Office Manager all group VIP’s for appropriate service.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales or hospitality industry sales management.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving room, banquet, and event sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of local, corporate, travel agent, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) markets.
  • Excellent ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, travel partners, and corporate accounts.
  • Experience leading, training, and motivating a sales team to exceed revenue goals.
  • Skilled in creating and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Strong presentation, networking, and contract negotiation abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with hotel sales systems and CRM tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Self-motivated, well-groomed, and able to work under pressure, including weekends or evenings as required for events.
