Senior Assistant Director Finance manages the Accounting department. Prepares financial reports, ledger reviews, budgets, and forecasts. Monitors revenues and expenses and ensures accurate recording of data per Ritz Carlton and Marriott Intl’s standards. Supervises all internal financial controls. Creates and posts journal entries. Coordinates accounting activities including monthly closings and account reconciliations. Attend departmental meetings to maintain effective working relationships with operations department and staff. Procurement System Champion responsible for assigning roles and ensuring maintenance of segregation of duties within the system. Ensure clear segregation of duties are in place between Procurement, Storerooms, Operations, and the Receiving Department. Provides oversight of the receiving department. Interacts with the Manager of Internal Controls and the Receiving Manager to ensure all receiving functions are compliant, receiving protocols are in place and receiving anomalies are reported and acted on immediately. Complies with any reasonable requests as directed by senior leaders.
The ideal candidate will have the skills and abilities to move into the Director’s role plus:
Manages the day-to-day operation of the accounting office and assists the property Director of Finance and Accounting in providing financial leadership to the business. Primary responsibilities include financial analysis and financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control. Assists with capital expenditure plans (Return On Investment Analysis), owner relations and owner reporting.
